We are working in partnership with a specialist external envelope contractor based near Warrington. They deliver technically demanding façade, cladding, stone restoration, and external systems work across a range of sectors. Their focus is on quality, precision, and long-term value, with projects valued up to £15m. The company works alongside leading main contractors and undertakes high-profile projects across the UK.
In the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll work closely with the team to support commercial activity, cost control, and tendering on high-spec projects.
What You’ll Be Doing- Assisting with cost estimating and tender submissions for external envelope works
- Preparing bills of quantities, cost plans, and take-offs
- Supporting site cost monitoring, variation analysis, and change control
- Collecting and analysing quotations from specialist suppliers and subcontractors
- Contributing to cost reports, forecasting, and commercial reviews
- Learning from experienced QSs and estimators in a technically rich environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to read or willingness to learn to interpret technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and an organised approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Competent with Excel; experience with QS or estimating software is a plus
- A genuine interest in external façade, restoration, or cladding work, and a desire to develop in that niche
- Salary of up to £40,000 package
