We are working in partnership with an established roofing contractor based in Manchester. The company delivers roofing packages across schools, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings, rail environments and other commercial sectors. The workload is varied, steady and technically interesting. They are now looking to add a Roofing Estimator to support continued growth.
What You’ll Do
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Carry out roof surveys and assess site conditions
- Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for flat, pitched and industrial roofing systems
- Source, compare and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Produce clear tender submissions and cost breakdowns
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth handovers
Requirements:
- Experience as an estimator within roofing or external envelope works
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial roofing systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project information
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Confident communication skills and ability to meet tender deadlines
