As a Test Technician you will oversee and manage the testing of all production assemblies. This is a hands-on role, requiring a deep understanding of cable assembly manufacturing, automated test equipment, electronic diagnostics and calibration procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ATE test programs and procedures to validate production assemblies.
- Design, build and maintain custom test jigs and fixtures to support production testing requirements.
- Conduct first off testing to verify both testing and manufacturing processes.
- Diagnose faults down to component level.
- Maintain test documentation including test specifications, reports and procedures.
- Manage the calibration schedule of all production tools and equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with all procedures is met.
- Perform on-site calibration of tools and organise external calibration services as required.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality departments to continuously improve test processes and reliability.
- Train and support production staff in the use of test equipment and tooling.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to form relationships with multicultural colleagues (must have excellent written and spoken English skills).
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and priorities.
- Computer literate with good fundamental knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 workspace.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.
