An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Executive to join a well-established and growing business based in Stoke-on-Trent. Operating within a fast-paced commercial environment, the organisation works with a diverse customer base across the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchasing of products in a timely, cost-effective manner
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and supplier agreements while maintaining quality and service standards
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to support customer demand and minimise waste
- Support supplier onboarding, approval and performance management processes
- Coordinate import activities, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
- Liaise with sales, warehouse and finance teams to align supply with demand and support operational efficiency
- Manage the booking-in and clearance of inbound deliveries
- Provide cover and support for warehouse administration functions when required
- Liaise with HMRC and relevant customs authorities regarding import processes and compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, cost control and operational effectiveness
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience within a distribution, logistics or supply chain environment
- Proven end-to-end supply chain and procurement experience
- Strong stock management and inventory control experience
- Good IT and systems skills with the ability to work across multiple platforms
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
- Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics qualification
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing imports and exports
- Knowledge of customs processes and documentation
