An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Executive to join a well-established and growing business based in Stoke-on-Trent. Operating within a fast-paced commercial environment, the organisation works with a diverse customer base across the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing of products in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and supplier agreements while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to support customer demand and minimise waste
  • Support supplier onboarding, approval and performance management processes
  • Coordinate import activities, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
  • Liaise with sales, warehouse and finance teams to align supply with demand and support operational efficiency
  • Manage the booking-in and clearance of inbound deliveries
  • Provide cover and support for warehouse administration functions when required
  • Liaise with HMRC and relevant customs authorities regarding import processes and compliance
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, cost control and operational effectiveness

Essential

  • Previous experience within a distribution, logistics or supply chain environment
  • Proven end-to-end supply chain and procurement experience
  • Strong stock management and inventory control experience
  • Good IT and systems skills with the ability to work across multiple platforms
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Desirable

  • Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience managing imports and exports
  • Knowledge of customs processes and documentation
