NightsTechnical Team Leader
Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Salary: Up to Β£31,880 per annum
Working Hours:9:00pm - 5:00am, Sunday to Thursday
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experiencedTechnical Team Leaderto join a busy food manufacturing operation based in Stoke-On-Trent
This is a key role within the technical and factory operations team, responsible for supportingfood safety, quality, compliance, training and factory standardsacross the night shift.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Quality Control and Factory Team Leaders to ensure processes and standards are consistently maintained, while identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing any quality or compliance concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Factory Oversight
- Oversee factory operations with a focus on:
- Product traceability
- Allergen controls
- Metal detection
- Label verification
- NPD presence within production
- Ensure technical and food safety standards are consistently maintained across production.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns within the factory environment.
Compliance & Training
- Monitor staff compliance using the company's Core system
- Ensure all staff training is completed and kept up to date in line with current site policies and procedures
- Support the development of employee competency through assessments, coaching and ongoing training
- Promote a strong culture of food safety, quality and compliance
Meetings & Communication
- Attend daily production planning meetings
- Hold regular meetings with the Quality Control team
- Conduct fortnightly meetings with Factory Team Leaders
- Produce a monthly report highlighting key topics, trends and concerns requiring management attention
- Ensure effective communication between the Technical, Quality and Production teams
Investigations & Reporting
- Lead immediate investigations into food safety, quality and compliance issues
- Identify trends and recurring issues through investigation findings
- Recommend and support appropriate corrective actions
- Produce detailed findings for inclusion within the monthly Board Pack
Auditing & Continuous Improvement
- Carry out regularGMP audits
- Completeglass and hard plastic audits
- Conduct hygiene audits and identify areas for improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across technical and production processes
- Ensure corrective act
