About the Role:
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Export Sales Manager to join our clients team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be responsible for growing profitable sales across a portfolio of global strategic accounts. Your role will involve developing and implementing tailored sales strategies, building strong relationships with key clients, and driving market growth to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement the agreed sales and marketing strategies and ensure smooth communication with distribution channels, including distributors, sales agents, and key direct accounts.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly evaluate sales performance against targets, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend and implement changes to enhance sales across existing channels.
- Channel Expansion: Explore new opportunities to extend sales into additional channels within global markets. Propose and implement strategies to enter new sectors.
- Product Feedback: Work closely with market contacts to assess the relevance of the current product range and provide feedback to support product development.
- Client Engagement: Visit key retailers, distributors, and agents to strengthen relationships, improve sales performance, and secure new listings.
- Market Insights: Provide detailed insights on market trends, forecasts of demand, and highlight potential risks and opportunities to support the annual sales budget.
- Sales Target Achievement: Ensure that sales targets for the designated accounts are consistently achieved.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support the wider sales objectives and share valuable insights to improve overall performance.
- Customer Service: Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain strong relationships with both internal departments and customers.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company’s brands professionally, ensuring excellent brand exposure and positive experiences across your account portfolio.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in sales management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify sales opportunities and recommend actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers.
- Experience in export, product development and market research is an advantage.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying new business opportunities.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve goals.
- Full UK driving licence required (local travel within the UK).
