KPI Recruiting are looking for an experienced Chef to work with our client based in Peterhead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and professional Chef to join a busy kitchen team, supporting high-quality food preparation and service in a well-established environment. As a chef you will be asked to work 06:00 until 18:00 with a pay rate of £16.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all kitchen areas to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to the daily menus.
  • Complete advance meal preparation for the following day's menu.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries, ensuring quality, quantity, and temperature compliance.
  • Carry out stock checks and rotation, minimising waste.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation and records as part of the food safety management system.
  • Assist in general kitchen cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic work area.
  • Report any equipment faults or breakages immediately to the Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and presentation standards, including clean chef whites at all times.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant in a professional catering environment.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate desirable).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong teamwork, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Passion for delivering consistently high standards of food and service.
