KPI Recruiting has partnered with a well-established and growing business based in the Leigh area who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused payroll professional who has experience managing end-to-end payroll processes and providing high-quality administrative support to the wider HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Process monthly payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary amendments, overtime, bonuses, absences, and statutory payments.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure all payroll data is kept up to date.
- Work closely with HR Advisors to provide payroll administration support and ensure employee queries are handled efficiently.
- Provide accurate advice and guidance to employees and managers regarding payroll-related queries.
- Support HR processes by maintaining accurate employee information and ensuring payroll and HR systems are aligned.
- Complete payroll checks and reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pension requirements.
- Assist with payroll reporting and provide accurate payroll information when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all payroll and employee information is handled securely in line with GDPR requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll (required).
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and statutory requirements (required).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work within deadlines (required).
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to support HR Advisors, managers, and employees.
- Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
- High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word (required).
- Experience using payroll and HR systems (desirable).
- CIPD or payroll qualification (desirable).
