Operational Trainer (MHE)
Location: Crewe Salary: £31,220 per annum Contract: Permanent Shift Pattern: Days, 12-hour shifts
Our client is seeking an experienced Operational Trainer (MHE) to join their busy logistics operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established MHE Instructor, or someone who has previously held an instructor qualification and is looking to return to a training-focused role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver practical and classroom-based training sessions.
Conduct inductions for new starters and temporary staff.
Train, assess, and re-certify colleagues on MHE equipment.
Support and promote health and safety compliance across the site.
Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation.
Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Health & Safety teams.
Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance.
Ensure all mandatory training requirements are completed.
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience operating MHE within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
RTITB, ITSSAR, or AITT MHE Instructor qualification.
Manual Handling Instructor qualification.
Level 3 Assessor qualification (or equivalent).
Candidates whose instructor qualification has lapsed are encouraged to apply, as support may be available to help the right individual regain certification.
