We are seeking a team of proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for delivering site-wide maintenance support, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimize production downtime
  • Support site engineering projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the production site
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with site health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served engineer with a recognised mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a food, FMCG, or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work independently on nights and manage priorities efficiently
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing setting
  • Available to start at short notice and commit to the full 3-month contract
  • Experience with PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
