We are working with a well-established and growing construction organisation in Guildford that is looking to appoint a talented Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business delivering a range of high-quality projects. You would be working on retail commercial and health care refurbishment, fit out and small build projects.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and tender processes
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs and cash flow
  • Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial success
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

About You

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of commercial and contractual practices (e.g. JCT)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high standards
