The Role
Working as part of a small installation crew, you'll be responsible for the electrical installation, testing, commissioning and connection of residential Solar PV systems, ensuring every installation is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, testing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems
- Completing AC and DC wiring, inverter installations and consumer unit connections
- Configuring inverters, battery storage systems and monitoring platforms
- Carrying out electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics
- Ensuring all installations comply with BS7671, MCS and G98/G99 regulations
- Completing commissioning certificates and installation documentation
- Liaising with installation teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently
- Delivering a professional handover to customers, explaining system operation and answering any questions
- Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and customer service
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent)
- Previous domestic electrical installation experience
- Proven Solar PV installation and commissioning experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
