We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join our team in Alexandria. This is a hard role to fill, and we are looking for a highly capable individual who can operate, set, and program CNC turning machines and work confidently on their own initiative.
About the Role
- Operate, set, and program CNC turning machines using Fanuc control
- Programming carried out at the machine (not offline/CAM-based)
- Work on Doosan CNC lathes
- Use live tooling, including C-axis and Y-axis capability
- Machine precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances
- Carry out full tool setting, offset setting, and programme prove-outs
- Perform first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a CNC Turner
- Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machines (various Fanuc models in use)
- Proven ability to operate, set, and program on the machine
- Confident programming at the machine
- Experience using live tooling with C & Y axis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
