Credit Controller
Nantwich
£32,000 - £34,000 per annum DOE
9am to 5pm
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join a small and dedicated team at their office based in Nantwich. Working for an established corporate company with offices across the Cheshire area.
- Pro-actively manage credit control to ensure maximum daily cash collection.
- Issue statements to clients.
- Follow up with reminders and phone calls as per firm’s credit control policy
- Take card payments from clients.
- Handle postings appropriately without a case management system.
- Resolve invoice, payment, and credit term queries and disputes.
- Negotiate payment plans and methods with clients as needed.
- Initiate legal actions if necessary.
- Refer cases to the internal debt collection department if required
- Report on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance PartnerS
- Review and update company credit policies and procedures.
- Maintain good relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute WIP reports by fee earner.
- Assist in the management of WIP lockup and actioning of WIP write-offs.
- Collaborate with the firm's Billing Team and Accounts Department.
Requirments
- At least 3 years of dedicated credit control experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong and confident communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
- Customer service and problem solving skills.
