KPI Recruiting are working in partnership with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of end-to-end management accounting, statutory reporting and financial control processes within a fast-paced and evolving business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting external audits, and providing high-quality financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • External & Statutory Reporting
    • Prepare the Group’s annual report and accounts, subsidiary statutory accounts, and quarterly external reporting in line with agreed deadlines.
    • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reporting timetables, tracking progress and ensuring all key deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate external audit requirements, ensuring timely and accurate responses while maintaining strong communication with external auditors and Group Finance.
  • Management Accounting & Financial Control
    • Manage month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance across the P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations.
    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies.
    • Produce full monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, tax, fixed assets, leases and payroll.
    • Support quarterly group consolidation and the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns and reconcile key control accounts including PAYE, VAT, wages and stock.
    • Complete accurate bank reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls across the ledger.
    • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure appropriate control frameworks are in place.
  • Analysis & Business Support
    • Deliver variance and margin analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
    • Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts, providing clear and insightful commentary on financial performance.
    • Produce and analyse sales and performance reporting for senior management.
    • Monitor aged debtors and creditors, manage inter-company balances and complete credit card reconciliations.
    • Provide financial insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements and enhancements to finance systems and reporting processes.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Essential
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years’ experience producing end-to-end management accounts.
  • Strong experience in statutory accounting, audit or financial reporting under IFRS.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach and strong team ethic within a finance function.
