We’re working in partnership with a well-established contractor delivering asphalt works, pavement renewal and road improvement schemes across the North West. With a strong pipeline of work secured with local authorities, major contractors and housebuilders, the business continues to expand its regional commercial team.
They’re now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor with around five years’ experience to support the delivery of multiple long-term schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stability, progression and clear exposure to varied highways and civils projects.
The role
- Manage day-to-day commercial duties across asphalt and road improvement schemes.
- Prepare valuations, measure works, manage variations and support final accounts.
- Assist with procurement, subcontract enquiries and cost planning.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost movements; report risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, housebuilders, site teams and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with NEC / JCT contracts.
Requirements
- Around 5+ years’ QS experience in highways, asphalt, pavement works, civils or similar (desirable but not essential).
- Good understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and subcontract procurement.
- Strong commercial awareness, accuracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple live schemes with consistent reporting standards.
