KPi Education are currently working with a range of welcoming and high-achieving primary schools across the St Helens and Warrington areas who are looking to appoint ambitious Graduate Primary Teaching Assistants for September 2026 vacancies. These exciting opportunities are ideal for graduates who are passionate about education and eager to make a genuine impact in the classroom before progressing into teaching or wider educational careers.
The Role:
- As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils thrive both academically and socially.
- You will gain valuable experience across the primary age range through:
- Full-time, long-term positions with permanent opportunities available
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Delivering 1:1 interventions and small-group support
- Assisting class teachers with engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Helping to create a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
We are keen to hear from graduates from a range of relevant degree backgrounds, including:
- English, Maths and Science (Core Subjects)
- Psychology
- Education Studies and Childhood Studies
- Humanities
- Creative subjects linked to the primary curriculum
Applicants should also demonstrate:
- A 2:1 degree or above (preferred)
- Experience working with children or young people in any capacity (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
