Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with young people and develop a career within education?
We are currently recruiting for a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Walthamstow, E17.
The role:
- Supporting students across the secondary school
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting students with additional learning needs
- Helping students develop confidence, independence and engagement
- Working alongside teachers and the SEN team
- Using your Psychology knowledge to understand and support students' individual needs
- Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour support
The ideal candidate:
- Psychology degree, ideally 2:1 or above
- Passionate about supporting young people
- Confident, patient and approachable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interested in pursuing a career in education, SEN, educational psychology or a related field
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
DBS required – applicants without a DBS can be supported through the process.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain hands-on experience within a secondary school while working alongside experienced teaching and SEN professionals.
