The Role
As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning across the Geography department.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Helping pupils prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Encouraging student engagement and academic progress
- Supporting learners with varying abilities and additional needs
- Working alongside teachers to raise attainment and confidence
- Contributing to educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life
This is a varied and rewarding position offering first-hand experience of life within a thriving secondary school.
Who We're Looking For
- A 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a closely related subject
- A passion for education and working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience working with young people
- Tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching
- Knowledge of the current Geography curriculum
