We are currently recruiting for a Tile Press Operative to join a busy and well-established manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in production or manufacturing who takes pride in quality, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation
- Set up and operate tile pressing machines to shape tiles as per production requirements.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve different tile designs or sizes.
- Monitor the pressing process to ensure consistent quality and output.
- Material Handling
- Load raw materials into the press, ensuring the correct mixture and consistency.
- Monitor material levels and request replenishment as needed.
- Quality Control
- Inspect pressed tiles for defects such as cracks, chips, or irregularities.
- Ensure tiles meet the company’s quality standards before proceeding to the next stage.
- Record and report any quality issues to the Production Manager.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance on tile pressing machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and basic repairs when machinery malfunctions or report to in-house maintenance team.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Production Supervisor.
