An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in a varied, hands-on role across multiple areas of the production process. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or production experience who is reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoys working as part of a team. The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift pattern (Days, Noons, Nights) and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant and production equipment
- Follow all process and quality procedures at all times, escalating issues when required
- Reduce product loss and waste through good manufacturing practices
- Carry out product changeovers including:
- Completing production paperwork and process documentation
- Material testing and taking samples for QC checks
- Machine set-up, operation, and adjustments
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or factory environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and accurately complete written and numerical records
- Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts: Days: 6am - 2pm, Noons: 2pm - 10pm, Nights: 10pm - 6am
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift (counterbalance) licence and experience would be an advantage but not essential
