An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Shift Production Team Leader to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can drive performance, maintain high food safety standards, and motivate production teams to achieve targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working on the night shift, you will be responsible for leading and supervising production teams, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise production teams throughout the night shift
- Ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time
- Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Monitor production performance and address any issues affecting output or efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate production records
- Coach, train, and develop team members to maximise performance
- Work closely with Engineering, Technical, Planning, and other departments to minimise downtime and resolve production issues
- Promote a positive working culture and encourage employee engagement
- Ensure KPI targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards
- Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Shift Leader or Supervisor within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent understanding of HACCP, food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures
- Ability to motivate teams and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
