About the Roles
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Sensory processing needs
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Working closely with teachers, therapists, pastoral teams, and families, you will help deliver personalised, needs‑led support tailored to each pupil’s EHCP outcomes and developmental profile. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions
- Supporting communication through Makaton, PECS, AAC, visual timetables, and Intensive Interaction approaches
- Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and sensory integration strategies
- Helping pupils develop independence, life skills, and social communication
- Working collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapy teams
