Location: Peckham, South West London
Contract: Full-time role, Monday to Friday 8:30am-16:00pm

Job Summary

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers to build your skills and confidence in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in core subjects
• Deliver 1-1 and small group intervention sessions
• Help pupils stay engaged and on track with their learning
• Build strong and trusted relationships with students to positively influence their progress and confidence
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school life
• Prepare resources and materials to support learning

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:

• A degree 2:1 or higher in science or any related STEM degree

• A proactive attitude combined with strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching

• A genuine interest in working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An interest in potentially training as a teacher in the future
• Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
