Do you have a desire, or interest, in training to teach and would like to find a salaried route into teacher training?
This forward-thinking school in Rainham, Essex, is hunting for a Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them in November. You will be a part of a creative Humanities team, and the hope is that you will progress on to salaried teacher training – to start in September 2027.
Job Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering in class exercises
- Work in small groups and 1-2-1 to improve outcomes
- Be an academic role model to aspirational learners
- Support the humanities department in field trips
- Work with the SEN Department – targeted learners
- Understand how the wider department works and efficiently contribute
- Monday to Friday Term Time – 8.15am to 3.45pm
Person Specification
- Geography graduate – or related subjects – wanted
- Preferably 1st or 2.1 degrees from Top 30/ Russell Group Universities
- Matching A levels and GCSEs are required
- Must be able to commit to this role for the remainder of this academic year at least
- Opportunity for salaried teacher training in September 2026
