Are you a high-achieving Modern Foreign Languages graduate looking to begin a rewarding career in education? We are recruiting on behalf of two secondary schools in the BH15 area of Poole for an ambitious Graduate MFL Teaching Assistant with a clear pathway into teacher training. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting students in Modern Foreign Languages before progressing onto a salaried or unsalaried teacher training programme.
About the Role
- Support students in Modern Foreign Languages lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to assist at Key Stage 5.
- Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging and effective French, Spanish or German lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group intervention to help students improve their language skills and confidence.
- Help raise student attainment and support learners of all abilities.
- Develop the skills and experience needed to progress into teacher training.
Essential Requirements
- A 2:1 degree or above in Modern Foreign Languages or a closely related subject (e.g. French, Spanish, German, Linguistics, Translation Studies or Languages).
- A Levels or BTEC Level 3 (Pass/C or above).
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Mathematics.
- Right to Work in the UK.
