We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Staffordshire. With more than 25 years of industry experience, our client has built an excellent reputation as a trusted supply chain partner, specialising in cable assemblies, fibre optics and electro-mechanical assemblies.Their products are supplied to some of the world's most demanding industries, including defence, aerospace, medical, energy and motorsport.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for experienced Production/Assembly Operatives to join their team.
The Role:
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality cable harnesses products to precise customer and industry requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Manufacturing cable harness assemblies and electro-mechanical products.
- Working from technical drawings, schematic diagrams, customer specifications and manufacturing instructions.
- Using a range of wiring, assembly and production techniques to manufacture high-quality products.
- Working to recognised industry standards and quality requirements.
- Carrying out work accurately and efficiently to meet production targets.
- Ensuring all products meet the required quality standards.
- Completing production records and other required documentation accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in wiring, cable harness assembly, electrical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good manual dexterity and visual attention.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
- A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work.
Experience within aerospace, defence, medical, motorsport, energy or other precision-manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
- Β£12.71 per hour starting rate
- Monday-Friday working pattern
- Early finish on Fridays
- Full in-house training and development
