A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Nantwich (CW5 5SS) is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated Early Years team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically within a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to provide high‑quality support that encourages every child to reach their full potential.

About You

  • Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude
  • Have experience working with young children, either in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate a caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about supporting children's early learning and development
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • Be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to the wider school community
  • Have the right to work in the UK

The Role

  • Supporting children throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging, play‑based learning activities
  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group support to help children achieve key developmental milestones
  • Supporting early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Helping to prepare learning resources and maintain a stimulating classroom environment
  • Assisting with observations and monitoring children's progress
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish
