We are seeking a passionate and dedicated experienced SEN Primary School Teacher to join a highly supportive and specialist educational setting in the Middleton (M24) area of Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established primary special school for children aged 3–11 with a wide range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Physical Disabilities and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher who is committed to helping every child achieve, belong and thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working in a special school or specialist SEND provision
  • Experience teaching within a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs, including autism and complex learning difficulties
  • Experience adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A nurturing, patient and flexible approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and families
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and assessments
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive attitudes to learning
