Maths Teaching Assistant – Graduate Pathway to Teacher Training
Are you a high-achieving Maths graduate considering a career in teaching?
This is an exciting opportunity to spend a year as a Maths Teaching Assistant within a successful secondary school, gaining valuable classroom experience and developing the skills needed to progress into Maths Teacher Training.
The academy is committed to supporting ambitious graduates who want to build a long-term career in education, after your 12 month placement, you would likely be enrolled into an Maths Teacher Training programme enabling you to become a fully qualified teacher within the next 12 months - this would be a fully funded qualification which would come along with a teacher training salary.

The Perfect Candidate
We are looking for an ambitious graduate with a genuine passion for Mathematics and a clear desire to become a teacher.
You must have:
- Strong desire to become a fully qualified Maths Teacher
- First Class or 2:1 degree in Mathematics or a strong Maths-related subject
- Strong GCSE Mathematics results
- Strong A-Level Mathematics results
- The confidence and ability to work with young people
- A genuine ambition to progress into Maths Teacher Training
- The right to work full-time in the UK
