The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and SEND professionals, you will help students engage positively with their education and achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students in lessons across a range of curriculum subjects
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and academic progress
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for students requiring additional assistance
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and attendance
- Supporting students' social, emotional, and personal development
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
About You
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Have previous experience working within a secondary school or educational setting
- Have experience supporting students with SEND
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development
- Have strong spoken English skills to effectively support students, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Be confident working independently and as part of a wider support team
- Have the right to work in the UK
