Maintenance Engineer Monday to Thursday - 8am - 4:45pm (Flexible) 3pm Friday finish Macclesfield, Cheshire Up to 40k Base salary + generous package:

A highly respected and well known manufacturer in Macclesfield is seeking an electrical bias maintenance engineer to complete their successful engineering function on days. The role focuses on performing planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks across a wide variety of machinery, ensuring optimal performance of the plant in line with health, safety, and quality standards, while driving improvements across the site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond quickly to unscheduled plant stoppages to minimize downtime
  • Utilise system for recording labour, materials, and performing planned maintenance tasks
  • Safely and efficiently repair plant equipment and services
  • Participate in maintaining the overall efficiency of the maintenance department, including tool management, housekeeping, and spare parts control
  • Work within budget guidelines and seek cost-reduction opportunities
  • Identify and pursue personal development and training opportunities
  • Share and implement best practices within a process driven industry

Skills/Experience Required:

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent) and formal electrical qualification
  • Industrial/ manufacturing industry experience
