A well-established specialist SEN school in Brixton is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to lead and develop therapy provision across the school. This is a senior role within a multi-disciplinary team, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a high-quality, evidence-informed therapy service for children and young people with autism and complex communication needs.
You will take overall responsibility for therapy outcomes, working closely with senior leadership to ensure a cohesive, transdisciplinary approach that supports pupils to access education and develop independence.
Key responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership across the Speech and Language Therapy service
- Oversee assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning
- Deliver and model high-quality therapeutic practice
- Support and manage therapy staff, including supervision and development
- Ensure therapy provision aligns with EHCP outcomes and school priorities
- Contribute to whole-school strategy and decision-making
- Monitor therapy impact, outcomes, and service quality
- Work collaboratively with education staff and wider clinical teams
- Liaise with families, external professionals, and stakeholders
- Support governance, reporting, and continuous service improvement

We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
- Is HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT (or equivalent)

- Understands neuro-affirming and evidence-based practice
- Has experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Has excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Is confident in driving service development and improving outcomes
