Start Dates & Induction Structure

The school will be open and operational after Easter, allowing some teachers to start earlier and support planning, curriculum development, and early pupil integration. Teachers starting in September will complete a two-week induction during the final two weeks of the summer term, ensuring a smooth and supported transition into the new academic year.

About the Role – Core Subject Teacher (SEN)

You will teach your specialist subject (English, Maths, Science, or Humanities) within a small-class SEN environment, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated, accessible lessons
  • Teaching pupils with EHCPs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and trauma-related needs
  • Using therapeutically informed behaviour strategies
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews, progress tracking, and personalised learning plans
  • Helping establish strong routines and a positive school culture
