The Role
- As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher you will work closely with experienced educators and subject specialists to develop your teaching practice.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre‑planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 within your subject specialism.
- Supporting students’ academic progress and subject understanding.
- Leading small group interventions and targeted support sessions.
- Developing strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, marking and assessment.
- Gaining exposure to curriculum planning and wider school life.
This position offers a structured and supportive introduction to teaching, providing excellent preparation for teacher training starting the following academic year.
Candidate Profile
- We are seeking graduates who:
- Are on track to achieve (or have achieved) a 2:1 degree or above in Art, Economics, Computer Science, English, Geography, Physics, Chemistry or related subjects.
- Are graduating this year and ready to begin a full‑time role from September.
- Have a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
- Demonstrate strong academic ability and excellent communication skills.
- Are professional, reflective and eager to learn.
- Have experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
