The Role

As a Graduate Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside SEN staff, therapists, and teaching professionals to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
  • Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions under professional guidance.
  • Assisting with the implementation of speech and language support strategies.
  • Supporting students with EHCPs and additional learning needs.
  • Encouraging communication, confidence, and social interaction.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to SEN staff.
