The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time position | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Earn up to £600 per week (paid on a weekly basis).
  • Support students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, communication challenges, and sensory processing difficulties.
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group support, guided by SEN professionals and school staff.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
  • Promote students’ independence, emotional regulation, and social development.
  • Work in partnership with educational psychologists, therapists, and SENCOs to meet each student’s specific needs.

Candidate Profile – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in supporting young people with additional needs in a secondary school environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
  • Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, care work, or SEN support (desirable but not essential).
