Are you a Science Graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school?
We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Science Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Tower Hamlets, E1.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Graduate looking to develop their experience in education and build a strong foundation for a future career in teaching.
The role:
- Supporting students across the secondary school
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting students with Science and STEM subjects
- Helping students understand challenging scientific concepts
- Working alongside class teachers and the SEN team
- Supporting students with additional learning needs
- Helping students build confidence and independence
- Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour support
The ideal candidate:
- Degree in Science or a related subject
- Strong scientific knowledge
- Passionate about education and supporting young people
- Confident, patient and approachable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interested in developing a career within education
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
DBS required - applicants without a DBS can be supported through the process.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science Graduate to gain hands-on secondary school experience while developing valuable classroom, pastoral and SEN skills.
