Full Time – Immediate Start or September 2026

Salary: £23,500 – £25,000

We are looking to recruit a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant on behalf of an Outstanding primary school in the Sheffield area. This is a role suitable for recent or upcoming graduates within the education sector or with a passionate view to get started.

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Full time role on a permanent contract – long-term temporary roles available
  • Competitive salary
  • Working within KS1 and KS2, providing in‑class support, small‑group work and 1:1 support to pupils
  • Work with the class teacher to support lessons and reach objectives
  • Be involved in the monitoring of progression and implementation of strategies
  • Immediate start or September 2026 start both available

The ideal candidate:

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher in a core subject or relevant field
  • Experienced in working with children or young people – desirable but not essential
  • Energetic personality with a real passion for education and helping our young learners to thrive
  • Available to work full-time, Monday‑Friday during term time
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

This is an exciting position for recent graduates to find their first role in the education sector. This is a classroom‑based role working directly with a class teacher. Graduate Teaching Assistants will have the opportunity to gain experience across the primary age range and work within a variety of classes and with a range of teachers and other experienced staff members.
