This outstanding, inclusive secondary school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and emotionally intelligent graduate to join their SEN department. As a Graduate Educational Psychologist Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 11–18 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and diagnosed learning difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and moderate learning difficulties. You will work alongside the school’s SENCO and in-house Educational Psychologist, gaining valuable insight into assessment processes, intervention strategies, and tailored support methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with EHCPs
  • Assist with SEN interventions designed to support emotional regulation, communication, and academic engagement
  • Observe and report on pupil progress and behaviour to support planning and reviews
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to develop effective, evidence-based support strategies
  • Participate in structured CPD sessions focused on child development, SEN best practices, and safeguarding

  • A graduate (minimum 2:1) in Psychology, Education, or a related discipline
  • A genuine interest in pursuing Educational Psychology or related SEN careers
  • Some experience supporting children or young people in any setting is highly desirable
