A warm, community-focused primary school in Paddington is seeking a Graduate Classroom Assistant to join their supportive team from September 2025.

About the School – Graduate Classroom Assistant

Nestled between Little Venice and Hyde Park, our client is a one-form entry school known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and creative curriculum. The school has a diverse pupil population and focuses on nurturing the whole child. It has recently invested in new SEND provisions and regularly partners with universities and training providers to support graduate development.

Responsibilities

  • Join a dedicated teaching team and support learning in EYFS, KS1, or KS2—tailored to your strengths.
  • Help pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND, EAL, or speech and language challenges.
  • Support lessons and classroom routines for teachers.
  • Lead small-group or 1:1 sessions in literacy, phonics, or numeracy.
  • Assist pupils with additional learning challenges and promote positive behaviour, focus, and self-confidence.
  • Help prepare resources and adjust materials where needed.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff alike.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Holds a 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology, English, or Education ideal).
  • Brings energy, empathy, and patience to working with children.
  • Has some experience supporting children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, playwork).
  • Is considering teacher training, educational psychology, or child development.
  • Communicates well and works confidently as part of a team.
