We're working with a highly successful, market‑leading manufacturer on the Fylde Coast that continues to go from strength to strength. With significant investment and a strong pipeline of growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established business where engineering plays a key role in operational success.

This role is offered on a 2-year fixed‑term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent due to ongoing growth and investment. This position sits within a fast‑paced manufacturing and packaging environment, offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact on reliability and performance.

The Role

  • As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production running efficiently through a proactive and reactive maintenance approach.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs across manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output.
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Identify and implement reliability improvements to reduce repeat failures.
  • Work with CMMS systems to manage maintenance tasks and spares.
  • Assist in developing apprentices and sharing engineering knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.

Candidate Profile

  • Apprenticeship trained.
  • Ideally multi‑skilled (mechanical & electrical).
  • 18th Edition desirable (training can be provided).
  • Experience within manufacturing, packaging, or similar environments.
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability.
  • Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems is advantageous.
