This role is offered on a 2-year fixed‑term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent due to ongoing growth and investment. This position sits within a fast‑paced manufacturing and packaging environment, offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact on reliability and performance.
The Role
- As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production running efficiently through a proactive and reactive maintenance approach.
- Carry out breakdown repairs across manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output.
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Identify and implement reliability improvements to reduce repeat failures.
- Work with CMMS systems to manage maintenance tasks and spares.
- Assist in developing apprentices and sharing engineering knowledge.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
Candidate Profile
- Apprenticeship trained.
- Ideally multi‑skilled (mechanical & electrical).
- 18th Edition desirable (training can be provided).
- Experience within manufacturing, packaging, or similar environments.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability.
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems is advantageous.
