The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced electrical bias maintenance engineer to join a leading, state of the art manufacturing business in Colne, Lancashire.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive repairs to a variety of equipment and control systems
- Act as the engineering representative on days
- Carry out planned maintenance activities
- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Supervision of outside contractors/service engineers and tradesmen as required
- Management of small projects such as equipment installation or staff training
- To develop and implement process improvements
About You
- Apprenticeship trained at NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- 18th edition certified. 17th edition also considered
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and a willingness to take on challenges
- Basic mechanical and fabrication skills
- Strong PLC fault finding skills - Ladder logic, problem solving
