A high volume manufacturer in Trafford Park is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to minimise plant downtime, assist with projects and implement PPM/Continuous improvement across their brand new, state of the art facility. Reporting to the newly appointed Senior Engineer, this position offers training and development from day one. This is a new position within a new site providing numerous future opportunities, suitable for engineers who have completed an apprenticeship and are in the early stages of their career.

Responsibilities after training:

  • Carry out planned and reactive repairs to a variety of equipment and mechanical systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities, minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
  • Supervision of outside contractors/service engineers and tradesmen as required
  • Management of small projects such as equipment installation or staff training
  • To develop and implement process improvements
  • Electrical fault finding/repair on sensors, motors, panels, drives, etc.

About You:

  • Time served Mechanical Engineer from a high volume, continuous production environment
  • You will ideally have an electrical qualification and fault-finding experience; however, this isn't essential
  • As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be happy to work on your own or as part of a team
