Sales Engineer
Gloucester | up to 30k DOE + Car Allowance + Bonus
We're working with a highly advanced engineering manufacturer who are looking to add a Sales Engineer to their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, early career engineer or graduate looking to break into technical sales. You'll join a fast paced, high performance environment where customers demand speed, precision and results particularly within high end engineering.
This role offers a balanced focus between winning new business and managing key strategic accounts, giving you exposure to both sides of the sales lifecycle.
The Role
- Deliver against sales strategy and revenue growth targets
- Spend 50% of your time developing and winning new business opportunities
- Spend 50% managing and growing a portfolio of key, high-value customer accounts
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Engage with senior stakeholders and decision makers
- Visit customers on site to build relationships and understand requirements firsthand
- Understand customer technical requirements and develop tailored solutions
- Act as the link between customers and internal engineering/production teams
- Support new product applications and development opportunities
- Represent the business at industry events and exhibitions
- Assist with proposals, commercial discussions, and contract reviews
The Candidate
- Degree (or similar) in Engineering or a related discipline
- Some exposure to B2B sales or a strong desire to move into technical sales
- A high energy, driven personality someone who is hungry to succeed and not afraid to push for results
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligible for UK security clearance
- Knowledge of composites or advanced materials (desirable)
- Exposure to manufacturing or product development environments (desirable)
