Accounts Assistant
Location: Crewe
Salary: Up to Β£28,000 per annum DOE (pro rata for part-time hours)
Hours: Flexible - Full Time (37.5 hours per week) or Part Time to suit (e.g. 9:00am to 3:30pm, 3 full days per week, or similar)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and growing team in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small, busy business where no two days are the same.
We're looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and support different areas of the business when needed. As a key member of the team, you'll not only assist with the accounts function but also help provide excellent customer service and general office support.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising sales invoices
- Inputting and processing purchase orders
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with bookkeeping activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting the wider accounts function as required
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries
- Speaking with customers and providing professional customer service
- Assisting colleagues across different departments when required
- General administrative duties
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant, or similar role
- Knowledge of Sage Cloud (highly desirable)
- Good understanding of invoice processing and bank reconciliations
- Bookkeeping knowledge would be beneficial
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- A flexible, team-focused approach
- A willingness to help wherever needed within the business
- A positive and proactive attitude
