We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator based in Congleton.
Working Hours: Monday–Friday 08:00 – 16:30
Rate of Pay: £12.74p/h
Responsibilities:
- Operate the weighbridge system to measure incoming and outgoing vehicle weights
- Ensure correct gross, tare, and net weights are recorded
- Issue weight tickets, receipts, or documentation to drivers
- Verify load details (materials, destination, supplier)
- Input and maintain accurate records in computer systems or logs
- Cross‑check delivery notes, invoices, and manifests
- Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and site staff
- Provide instructions on where to go on‑site (loading/unloading points)
- Resolve discrepancies in weight or paperwork professionally
- Ensure vehicles comply with weight limits and legal regulations
- Report overloaded or unsafe vehicles
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Track vehicle movements in and out of the facility
- Coordinate with warehouse, yard, or production teams
- Report irregularities such as unauthorized access or suspicious loads
