PRISON CHEF - IMMEDIATE START
Location: YO41 1PS
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days out of 7
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Prison Chef to join a busy catering operation in the YO41 1PS area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced Chef to work within a large-scale catering environment, preparing meals for approximately 1,500 people every day.
THE ROLE
As a Prison Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals in a high-volume catering environment
- Cooking for approximately 1,500 people per day
- Following menus, recipes and portion-control requirements
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and food safety
- Working effectively as part of a professional kitchen team
- Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
- Following all site security, health & safety and operational procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working as a Chef
- Experience in large-volume catering is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Able to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends where required
- Advanced DBS required or willingness to obtain one
- Must be available for an immediate start
