A well-established specialist SEN school in London is seeking an experienced Interim Deputy Headteacher to support the day-to-day leadership of its secondary provision. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced but supportive environment, working closely with an experienced senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across the secondary provision
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
  • Line manage teaching staff and support performance
  • Oversee HR processes including staffing, absence and ER matters
  • Maintain strong standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement

About You

  • Senior leadership experience (Deputy Head, Assistant Head or similar)
  • Strong SEN background (ASD, SEMH, complex needs)
  • Confident managing staff and handling HR matters
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge (DDSL/DSL experience desirable)
  • Able to build relationships quickly and provide stability
